Roger Wayne Francisco

Mr. Roger Wayne Francisco of 1005 Rickman Lane, Nathalie, VA died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the age of 63. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on June 27, 1949 to the late Roger E. Francisco and the late Doris Rickman Francisco and was married to Rebecca Wilson Francisco. Mr. Francisco was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam and was a inmate foreman for VDOT. He was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church and American Legion Post 8 where he served on the Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Wilson Francisco of Nathalie, VA; three sisters, Joyce F. Ratliff of South Boston,VA Faye F. Glover of Powhatan, VA and Phyllis F. Brooks and husband, Charles of Richmond, VA; brother, Grady V. Francisco and wife, Dale of Nathalie, VA; special aunt, Cleo Anderson; special niece, Pam Paynter; a number of nieces and nephews; and two great nieces, Taylor and Madison Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, George and Minnie Rickman and John and Mattie Francisco. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Hunting Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Cooper and Rev. Raymond Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
