Clarksville, VA - Mr. Salvatore Frank Caparatta, Jr. “Sam”, age 70, died Monday, August 29, 2016.He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 29, 1946 to the late Anna Marie Kerns and Salvatore Frank Caparatta, Sr. Sam served his country in the United States Marine Corps.He was owner of The Pizza Pub in Clarksville, VA since 1979. Sam is survived by his wife of 42 years, Agnes Jean Callahan Caparatta “Aggie”, daughters, Sandy Williamson (Scott) of Nelson, VA and Jody Caparatta of Richmond, VA; sons, David Michael Hartrum of Nelson, VA and Salvatore Frank Caparatta, III of Clarksville, VA ; sisters, Betty Nickisher of Easton, PA and Sue Smalley of Martins Creek, PA and brothers, Kus Kostalanci and Robert Kostalanci both of Brainards, NJ.He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services for Mr. Caparatta will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Ave., Clarksville, VA.The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. and a reception will follow the service.
