Shirley Stebbins Jordan

Shirley Stebbins Jordan, 57, died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Duke Medical Center in Durham. Daughter of the late Shirley "Buck" Branham Stebbins, Jr. and Jean Curtis Stebbins, Shirley graduated from Bluestone High School with the Class of 1970. After being employed with Burlington Industries for many years, Shirley went to work for Premier Woman's Health in Henderson and Oxford as a CNA. Memorial services will be 2PM Thursday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon with the Reverend Ronald Cava officiating. Shirley is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Velvet Newman and Chris Perdue of Louisburg, NC; Crystal Newman and her fiancé, David Barker, of Garner, NC; and Ivy Newman and Edwin Mowrer of Manheim, PA. Grandchildren, Gage Tharpe of Louisburg, NC and Rayne White of Wake Forest, NC; brother, John R. "Jack" Stebbins of Clarksville; aunts, Ruth Leffers of Charlottesville, VA; Nancy S. Burnette of Oxford, NC and Fredricka Patgorski of Chesapeake, VA and uncles, William Wimbish of Charlottesville, VA and Bobby R. Curtis of Greensboro, NC also survive. She was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis M. Stebbins. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM, prior to the service.
