Ted Wesley Dalton, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on August 15th, 1955, he was the son of the late Bobbie Ray Dalton and Doris Flinn Dalton, who survives.
Ted spent his life devotedly working beside family on the tobacco farm, and learning the values of hard work and dedication. His love for nature was apparent not only in his work but also in his passions. Whether it was the beside the stillness of a pond or the expansive beauty of a lake, Ted found solace and joy in fishing. His love for the great outdoors extended to camping, a pastime he treasured sharing with his brother.
A lover of country music, Ted often found joy in the timeless stories told through song. A man of diverse interests, he was a keen collector at flea markets and had a talent for breathing new life into old furniture.
Ted had a special fondness for the simple pleasures of life, among them indulging in a personal pizza from Pizza Hut. He delighted in the vibrant celebration of parades and cherished these communal gatherings.
In addition to his many talents and interests, Ted was an adored resident at the local nursing home, where he established a reputation founded on friendliness and mutual respect. His warm and caring nature naturally led him to serve as the president of the resident community, where he worked tirelessly to ensure everyone felt a sense of belonging.

Dalton (Dana), Karen Blythe Jones (Chris), Brian Blair Dalton (Michelle), Mark Brandon Dalton (Gail) and Lori D. Whittington (Brad); and numerous nieces and nephews.
