Teddy Peter Wazeka

Mr. Teddy Peter Wazeka of 103 Rosehill Dr., VA, died October 30, 2011 at the age of 97. He was born on February 28, 1914 in La Porte, Indiana to the late Albert Wazeka and the late Antonia Panek Wazeka Pypec and was married to the late Annie Lillian Riley Wazeka. Mr. Wazeka was a retired employee of Rochester Button Factory and a member of Ingram Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert C. "Bobby" Wazeka and his wife, Betty and Wallace O. Wazeka and his wife, Carolyn all of South Boston, VA; one daughter, Barbara W. Newcomb and her husband, Doug of Scottsburg, VA; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sons, Teddy George Wazeka, William Cecil Wazeka, and Anthony R. Wazeka, and three brothers. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 2 PM at Halifax Memorial Gardens, South Boston, VA with Rev. Mike Wetherington officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Barbara Newcomb, 6219 Bethel Rd., Scottsburg, VA 24589.
