Wanda Dixon Seamon of Scottsburg passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the age of 62. Born in Halifax County on July 10, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Harry Odell Dixon and Rachel New Dixon. She is survived by her husband, Steve Seamon.
Wanda was employed in human resources and worked long term at Tultex in South Boston and Elkay Manufacturing in Danville. In addition to her love for jewelry, she enjoyed her arts & crafts, puzzles, diamond dots, reading and anything to keep her hands busy. Wanda was a dedicated grandmother, always attending every soccer game, baseball game, school play, band concert and dance recital.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve; doting sons, Casey Campbell (Briana), Chad Campbell (Ashleigh), Brent Seamon (Tiffany), Chase Campbell (Morgan); her adored grandchildren, Connor, Cailyn, River, Cade, Kennedy, Dakota, Will, Alex & Sienna; a special cousin, Donna New; and a nephew that she loved like her own, Michael Lawrence (Carrie) and finally not to be forgotten, her capricious cat, Clyde.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Lawrence Keaton and cherished dogs, Jesse, Jack & Radar.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
