Warren Weston

Warren Weston, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community icon, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on August 25, 1959, Warren was a cherished resident of Red Oak, VA, where he spent a lifetime building relationships and nurturing a sense of community through his work and passions.

Warren was the proud owner of Weston Grocery, a cornerstone of the town that provided not just goods, but goodwill to everyone who walked through its doors. Known for his genuine love of people, he delighted in conversation and took every opportunity to lend a helping hand.

A man of diverse interests, Warren had a particular passion for the great outdoors. He founded the first catfish showdown tournament and hosted The Kids Fishing Day for a decade, passing on his love of nature to younger generations. His fondness for coon hunting and sharing lively stories about the UKC World Hunt were well-known and cherished by family and friends alike.

Warren's last weekend was filled with joy as he celebrated a birthday party with his granddaughter, Oaklynn. This memory, among many, will be cherished by his surviving family: his devoted wife of twelve years, Pam; his stepson, Brandon Cook and his fiance, Alyssa Hatcher; grandchildren Dustin Singleton and his fiance, Ashlyn Inge, Oaklynn Cook, and an eagerly anticipated grandchild on the way. Warren was also a proud great-grandfather to Chloe, Kade, and Colsen, with another on the way and a lot of close friends and family he loved dearly.

Warren was preceded in death by a brother, David Weston.

A service to honor Warren's life will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church, located at 4537 Salem School Rd, Red Oak, VA 23964. The family will receive friends after the service.
