William Lloyd Dunn

SOUTH BOSTON - Mr. William Lloyd Dunn of South Boston passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016. He was born in Halifax County, VA the son of the late Richard Lloyd Dunn and the late Eloise Thomas Dunn. Lloyd was a service technician for Davenport Energy for 42 years before retiring in 2015. He was a member of Seven Oaks Baptist Church. Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife, Glenda Stegall Dunn; a daughter, Sandy Terry and husband, Rick of South Boston; a son, William Lloyd Dunn, Jr. and wife, Donna of South Boston; two sisters, Myra Shelton and husband, Jimmie of Stoneville, NC and Louise Dunn of South Boston; and four grandsons, Travis Dunn, Craig Dunn, John Terry, and Ethan Terry. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jimmy McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery Eternity Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday and at other times at the home, 5240 Bill Tuck Hwy., South Boston.
